I attended one of Gil's knifemaking classes in 2003 and it was an incredible experience for me. Gil got me started in making knives and I haven't stopped. I couldn't beleive that I actually made the bowie knife that I made during the class.
Gil personally took us through every step of the knifemaking process. He shows you how but you do the work. There aren't many opportunities to learn from a master knifemaker with 50 years of experience. I cannot describe how much I learned in just one week.
It was also the beginning of a most treasured friendship. Gil and Linda Hibben are two of the nicest, most hospitable people you could ever hope to meet.
If you are interested in learning to makes knives, this is time and money well spent!
